On Saturday a team from CLASP took part in the Henley Regatta for the Disabled and won!

The CLASP crew were Martin L, Philip P, Dean B, Fraser M, Debbie M, Thomas O, Michael W and Matt O.
Winning was lovely but it is the taking part that counts and all of the team enjoyed the day despite the not too brilliant weather. To quote Martin L "It was a lot of fun. I got very wet but I didn't care! It was very exciting."
Not all the crew found the Bell Boat racing easy. As Philip says "When you have a small bottom you keep slipping off the seat, the helm G had to keep pushing me back on! Debbie seemed to find this very funny, as did I. It was so much fun and I really enjoyed it."
The team also appreciated the support they received from family and friends who came along to enjoy activities such as bracelet making, boat trips, Punch & Judy, an accessible climbing wall, Millers Ark Animals (sheep, goats, rabbits and much more!) soft archery, face painting, crafts, rowing machines, live music and of course lots of lovely hot and cold food, ice-cream, soft drinks and beer!
