Having found himself with time on his hands on a Wednesday morning, Edward has decided to put that time to good use after a suggestion from fellow member Ian H.
Ian gives a lot of his time to local good causes, volunteering regularly for several charities, including SHARE Wokingham and he realised Edward would be a great help so Edward is now also a regular volunteer.
At SHARE King’s Church they provide a free lunch from the leftover food donated by supermarkets and catering companies for those in need. For some, providing lunch or free food is a lifeline.
So every Wednesday, after his breakfast at the Salvation Army, Edward walks the short distance to the King's Church where he helps with the food deliveries, taking the boxes from the cars to the kitchen and stacking them neatly. It's an active job so he gets the added benefit of keeping fit!

As well as making new friends through volunteering and giving back to the community Edward has been asked to take on a new role, as the mascot, so if you you see a giant rabbit at events promoting this very valuable service it is likely to be Edward!
