Member Dean C recently went to Anfield, home of Liverpool FC to see a legends game between ex Chelsea and Liverpool players.
The game was for the Liverpool Foundation Charity. The charity delivers a wide range of programmes to help improve the life and health chances of children and young people.

Dean is a Reading supporter, attending both home and away matches regularly, but Liverpool are his favourite Premier League team. He went with his parents on the train to Liverpool, staying overnight in a hotel near the stadium and made the most of his trip, not only seeing the game at Anfield but also visiting Goodison Park, home to Liverpool's Premier League rivals, Everton FC.
Before the game local Liverpool icons, Jerry and the Pacemakers, entertained the crowd with an emotional version of the Anfield anthem, You'll Never walk Alone.

The game included legend from both Chelsea and Liverpool including Peter Crouch, who scored both goals in the 2-0 victory. Others who took to the field for this charity game included Steven Gerrard and David James, Liverpool and Dennis Wise and Gianfranco Zola for Chelsea. It was a good friendly game and the right team won!
