I’m really pleased to share that I recently started a new role as Operations Manager at CLASP, a local charity supporting adults with learning disabilities to live inclusive,
independent lives in the Wokingham area.
After more than 30 years working across consumer, healthcare and agency environments, moving into the charity sector feels both grounding and meaningful.
What drew me to CLASP was its strong sense of community, its focus on people as individuals, and the genuine care shown by everyone involve - members, families, staff and volunteers alike.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been busy getting to know the team, attending member sessions, and learning how services are delivered day to day. From active and creative groups to wellbeing and social sessions, it’s been inspiring to see the variety of activities on offer and the positive impact they have. I’m also supporting the behind‑the‑scenes work - reviewing processes and risk assessments and finding ways to support staff and volunteers so services run smoothly.
I’m looking forward to continuing to listen, learn and contribute, and to playing my part in strengthening the wonderful work CLASP already does. It’s a privilege to be part of an organisation where kindness, inclusion and community really sit at the heart of everything - and I’m excited for the journey ahead.
