"My name is Sarah Salter and I work for Wokingham Borough Council in the People Commissioning Team. Our team works with a range of people such as Operational teams within Social Care, providers, the voluntary sector and individuals to understand the care and support requirements of people in the Borough.
We design and procure services to meet those needs which might include day services, home care or residential services.
I really enjoy my role as I have the opportunity to work across a range of different projects and meet a variety of people – no two days are the same!
I’m really pleased to be part of the LDPB, as it will be a great way to learn more about the Learning Disability community and how the Council can further support providers and individuals which will help to shape future commissioning plans.
As a local resident, I hope to be able to offer my own views and ideas too."
